The Los Angeles Kings were defeated by the Phoenix Coyotes 2-1, their fifth loss in six games. Shane Doan scored a power-play goal to win the game for Phoenix, and Ilya Bryzgalov made 24 stops for the Coyotes. Jonathan Quick made his sixth career start, stopping 24 shots.
