Clippers in "Serious" Talks with Iverson

The Los Angeles Clippers are negotiating with Allen Iverson, according to the LA Times. Iverson has been one of the best players of this generation, reaching the Finals once in 2001 with Philadelphia, the same year he won the MVP. He then was traded to the Denver Nuggets in 2006, and just last season was traded to Detroit. His stint with the Pistons was the worst in his career, as his refusal to move to the bench led Detroit to deactivate him for the rest of the season.

Lakers Stall Against Motor City

The Los Angeles Lakers were defeated by the Detroit Pistons 106-95, suffering their first loss of the season. LA shot only .421 and were too inconsistent to defeat Detroit. Kobe Bryant had 29 points, putting him at 22nd on the all time scoring list, ahead of Larry Bird and Gary Payton. Allen Iverson and Rasheed Wallace both led the Pistons with 25 points, and former Laker Kwame Brown had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. The Lakers look to rebound against the Bulls on Tuesday.
