Clips Can't Capitalize Returns

The Los Angeles Clippers fell to the Washington Wizards 106-94, their 18th loss in 20 games and fifth straight. An 11-for-26 night from behind the arc did not help the Clips, who gave up 24 turnovers and were out-rebounded 49-38. Eric Gordon pushes his rookie season further and further, scoring 25 points to lead LA. Baron Davis had his best game after returning from an injury with 17 points and 6 assists coming off the bench. Steve Novak also scored 17 points, most of which came courtesy of a 5-for-10 night from 3-point range. Brian Skinner was the only other Clipper to score in double-figures with 14 points in addition to 10 rebounds. Antawn Jamison led the Wizards with 25 points to go with 12 rebounds, and former Laker Caron Butler had a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds, as well as 7 assists. Nick Young came off the bench to score 22 points.
