Pau Gasol was named one of the Western Conference's back-ups in the 2009 NBA All-Star Game, joining fellow Lakers Kobe Bryant and coach Phil Jackson. Gasol came to LA last season in a blockbuster trade between the Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies. He substituted for Andrew Bynum at the center position, but moved to forward upon Bynum's return this season. Gasol occasionally plays center when Bynum is put on the bench.

Gasol Headed for Phoenix
