The Los Angeles Dogers have signed veteran-lefty Shawn Estes (left) to a minor-league contract. Last season he pitched for San Diego, going 2-3 with a 4.74 ERA. Estes has pitched for San Francisco, New York, Cincinnatti, Chicago, Colorado, and Arizona in addition to San Diego. He had his best season in 1997 with the Giants, going 19-5 with a 3.18 ERA and All-Star berth. He has pitched 15-win seasons in 2000 with San Francisco and in 2004 with Colorado.
