Oregon Trail Leads to Defeat for Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Portland Trail Blazers 111-94, only their 13th loss of the season. LA had only 16 points in the first quarter and 18 in the third, and finished the game shooting .439 from the field. Portland was hot from the beginning, going 40-for-82 in the game and 11-for-24 from three-point range. The Lakers had 13 turnovers and only 16 free-throw opportunities. Kobe Bryant had 26 points on only 11-for-29 shooting, and Pau Gasol scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Jordan Farmar had 12 points off the bench. Brandon Roy led the Blazers with 27 points, and LaMarcus Aldridge scored 16 and had 13 rebounds. Travis Outlaw came off the bench to add 22 points.
