Canucks Send Kings Rolling

The Los Angeles Kings fell to the Vancouver Canucks 1-0. Robert Luongo made 20 saves to get his 8th shutout of the season for Vancouver. Ryan Kesler scored the only goal of the game. Jonathan Quick made 27 saves on 28 shots.

Kings Lose in Wacky Third

The Los Angeles Kings fell to the Vancouver Canucks 4-2, and remain 5 points out of playoff contention. Vancouver scored two goals in the first period, and after the Kings tied the game in the third, scored two more goals to win the game. Alexander Frolov and Anze Kopitar both had goals in the third to tie the game, but Jonathan Quick could not stop the Canucks from scoring. Both third period goals for Vancouver came from Henrik Sedin. Quick made 28 saves, but LA could not score on Roberto Luongo, who stopped 24 of the Kings' 26 shots.

Kings Skate By Canucks

The Los Angeles Kings defeated the Vancouver Canucks 3-2, and are now just 3 points out of a playoff spot. Jarret Stoll scored two power-play goals for LA, and Denis Gauthier had the Kings' other goal. Alex Burrows and Taylor Pyatt both scored for Vancouver. Both LA and the Canucks took 22 shots, but Jonathan Quick made 20 saves for LA, while Roberto Luongo made 19.

Kings Trade LaBarbera

The Los Angeles Kings traded goalie Jason LaBarbera (left) to the Vancouver Canucks. In return, the Kings will receive a 2009 seventh-round draft pick. LaBarbera fell behind upon Erik Ersberg's performance, and with the emergence of Jonathan Quick, LaBarbera became expendable. The goalie will become a free-agent this summer.

Kings Can(t)nuck 'Em Out

The Kings got shutout in LA by the Vancouver Canucks yesterday, losing 4-0. Daniel Sedin and Kyle Wellwood contributed two power-play goals, while Roberto Luongo recorded his 40th shutout. The Kings look to rebound against the Calgary Flame tomorrow, but consistency remains a problem.
