Clippers' Finale Sums Up Season

The Los Angeles Clippers ended a dreary season with a loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder that seemed to sum up the entire season in one game. The Clips fell 126-85, their 63rd and final loss of the season. The Clips end with 19 wins. OKC shot .539 from the field, and collected 17 steals. LA turned the ball over 22 times, and were out-rebounded 49-32, out-assisted 36-16, and went to the charity stripe just 14 times, compared to the Thunders' 32 opportunities. Eric Gordon scored 22 points to lead the Clippers, and Mike Taylor added 15 points off the bench. Chris Kaman scored 13 points, and no other Clipper scored in double-figures. Kevin Durant led OKC with 26 points, Jeff Green scored 19 and UCLA-product Russell Westbrook added 13. Three players off the Thunder bench scored in double-digits.

Lakers Avoid Thunderous Collapse

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 107-93, their 10th win in 11 games. Kobe Bryant passed Adrian Dantley to become the 19th all-time scorer in the NBA, just one game after passing Laker-great Elgin Baylor. The Lakers had to fight a serious comeback from OKC, with their lead being cut to just one point with 9 minutes left in the game. LA shot .526 from the field, including 7-for-15 from 3-point range. Bryant finished the game with 36 points, and Pau Gasol had 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. Derek Fisher scored 12 points, Luke Walton had 11, and Jordan Farmar came off the bench to score 10. Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 32 points to go with 10 rebounds, and former-Bruin Russel Westbrook finished with 14 points. Kyle Weaver came off the bench to score 16.

Lakers Enjoy Brief Return

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 105-98, their first home game after a 6-game road-trip. Kobe Bryant became the youngest player to reach 23,000 points in a career. OKC was held to just .393 shooting, while LA had a .455 shooting percentage. The Lakers out-rebounded. Kobe scored 34 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, and Pau Gasol had a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds. Lamar Odom continues to light up the opposition, adding 12 points and 18 rebounds. Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 31 points to go with 10 rebounds, and former UCLA standout Russel Westbrook had 17 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists.
