Editor's Note: Too Many Options for Clips

Along with the first overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, the Clippers have a lot to think about regarding their front-court. The Clips will almost certainly pick Blake Griffin of Oklahoma, but that won't stop their wheeling-and-dealing. Griffin's arrival creates an over-abundance of big-men, with Marcus Camby, Chris Kaman, and Zach Randolph. The most obvious option for LA is to trade, but who they trade is up for grabs. Camby is on the last year of his contract, which expires at the end of the 2010 season. Chris Kaman is young, and could yield a lot of interest from teams in the market for a center. And Zach Randolph had a standout year, but a hefty contract might prove to be immovable. The best bet would have to be trading Camby. He came to LA very angry after being blindsided by Denver trading him. He never truly embraced being a Clipper, and with the end of his contract coming, he could be traded to a team like Detroit or Chicago that lacks a standout power-forward or center in exchange for a solid guard and a few draft picks in the future. While Griffin's fate is already sealed, three other Clippers find their future up in the air.

Clippers' Finale Sums Up Season

The Los Angeles Clippers ended a dreary season with a loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder that seemed to sum up the entire season in one game. The Clips fell 126-85, their 63rd and final loss of the season. The Clips end with 19 wins. OKC shot .539 from the field, and collected 17 steals. LA turned the ball over 22 times, and were out-rebounded 49-32, out-assisted 36-16, and went to the charity stripe just 14 times, compared to the Thunders' 32 opportunities. Eric Gordon scored 22 points to lead the Clippers, and Mike Taylor added 15 points off the bench. Chris Kaman scored 13 points, and no other Clipper scored in double-figures. Kevin Durant led OKC with 26 points, Jeff Green scored 19 and UCLA-product Russell Westbrook added 13. Three players off the Thunder bench scored in double-digits.

Clips Are Kings for a Day

The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Sacramento Kings 109-78, snapping a six-game losing streak. LA could not be stopped after finishing the first quarter leading 35-13. The Clippers shot 56% from the field while Sacramento shot .326. The Clips also out-assisted the Kings 26-14 and blocked 9 of their shots. Brain Skinner led LA with 21 points to go with 10 rebounds and 3 blocked shots. Eric Gordon had 20 points, and Chris Kaman had a double-double off the bench with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Baron Davis added 16 points. Beno Udrih led the Kings with 18 points.

Clippers Feel Rocky-Mountain Low

The Los Angeles Clippers fell to the Denver Nuggets 120-102, their 58th loss of the season. Denver had a .531 shooting percentage, along with 11-for-22 shooting from 3-point range. The Clips were missing Chris Kaman, Marcus Camby, Mardy Collins, Ricky Davis, and Al Thornton to different injuries. The Nuggets scored at least 30 points in the first three quarters. Zach Randolph led the shorthanded LA with 22 points and 12 rebounds. DeAndre Jordan came off the bench to score 21 points and grab 8 rebounds. J.R. Smith led Denver with 34 points off the bench, and Carmelo Anthony added 18.

Short-Handed Clips Can't Handle Rockets

The Los Angeles Clippers fell to the Houston Rockets 110-93, their 56th loss of the season. The Clippers were without Baron Davis or Marcus Camby, both dealing with health problems. Houston had a .524 shooting percentage, and out-rebounded LA 44-32. The Clips had only 8 turnovers, but went 4-for-12 from 3-point range. Eric Gordon led the Clippers with 17 points, and Chirs Kaman had 16. Zach Randolph and Al Thornton both scored 12, and Mike Taylor had 11 with 6 assists. Yao Ming led the Rockets with 21 points and 15 rebounds.

Clippers Can't Keep Up with Cavs

The Los Angeles Clippers fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers 87-83, their 49th loss of the season. LA had a 19 point lead at one point in the third quarter, but lost in the fourth 35-14. The Clips held Cleveland under 20 points in each of the first three quarters, and to 39% shooting in the entire game. Chris Kaman made his return after missing 48 games with an injury to his left foot. Zach Randolph and Al Thornton led the Clips with 20 points each, 9 rebounds for Thornton and 12 for Randolph. Eric Gordon added 14 points. LeBron James had his second straight triple with 32 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists, and Mo Williams hit a game-winning 3-pointer with just 6.6 seconds left in the game.

Clippers Hit Big 1-0

The Los Angeles Clippers were defeated by the New Orleans Hornets 107-80, their 10th straight loss. The Clips are still without Baron Davis, Chris Kaman, and Zach Randolph. LA committed 18 turnovers that resulted in 22 points. Rasual Butler had a game-high 27 points for New Orleans. Eric Gordan and Mardy Collins each had 15 points for LA, and Marcus Camby had 13 points with 17 rebounds. Hornets star Chris Paul played for only 29 minutes, scoring 10 points to go with 7 assists.

Clippers Feel the Heat in Phoenix

The Los Angeles Clippers were defeated by the Phoenix Suns 106-98, their 6th straight loss. Injuries continue to plague the Clips, with Baron Davis and Mike Taylor sitting out with Zach Randolph, Ricky Davis and Chris Kaman. Jason Hart also sat out in the first quarter with elbow tendinitis. A late Clipper rally came up short after trailing by 20 in the fourth quarter. Marcus Camby continues to sizzle with 19 points and 23 rebounds and Eric Gordon scored 21 points. Al Thornton scored 15 and Fred Jones had 16. Amare Stoudemire scored 23 points to lead the Suns to their third straight victory.

Clippers Stand Heat

The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Miami Heat 97-96 for their third win of the season. LA staved off a late Miami surge to get the victory, their first against an east coast team. Ex-Knick Zach Randolph had his best Clipper game with 27 points and 13 rebounds, a drastic improvement from his last game where he scored only 7. Al Thornton also had 27, and Baron Davis had 15 with 9 assists. Chris Kaman had to sit out with a strained arch. Dwyane Wade led the Heat with 26 points and 11 assists.

Clippers Thunder Past OKC

The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 108-88. The Clips had 14 steals. 7 from Cuttino Mobley, to take the win from the former Seattle Supersonics. LA trailed at one point in the second half by 15 points. Mobley gave the Clippers 23 points, Chris Kaman had 25 points and 14 rebounds, Al Thornton scored 20, and Baron Davis and Marcus Camby both gave 14 points. Kevin Durant, last season's rookie of the year, had 17 points for OKC.

Clippers Fall Late to Spurs

The Los Angeles Clippers lost to the San Antonio Spurs 86-83. The Clips were down by as much as 11 in the fourth quarter, but managed to come from behind to tie the game with 1:04 left on Cuttino Mobley's three-pointer. However, the Spurs came right back and had their own 3 point play from Roger Mason to put the game out of reach. Mobley led the Clippers with 18 points, and Chris Kaman had a double-double with 17 points and 13 boards. Mason led San Antonio with 21 points and Tim Duncan had 20 points with 15 rebounds. The Clips are 1-9, the worst record for any team other than the OKC Thunder.

Clippers Less Than Golden

The Los Angeles Clippers lost to the Golden State Warriors 121-103. In Baron Davis's first game against his former team, the Clips shot just .368 from inside the arch. Anthony Morrow stole the show with 37 points, going 15-for-20. Corey Maggette, in his first game against his former team, gave Golden State 17. Davis led the Clippers with 25 points and 11 assists, and Chris Kaman had a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds.

Clips go 0 and 6

The Los Angeles Clippers lost to the Houston Rockets on Friday 92-83. Ron Artest led the Rockets with 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. Chris Kaman led the Clips with his best game of the season, with 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocks. LA is still trying to achieve their first win, a direct contrast with the Lakers who still have not suffered a loss.

Clippers Fall Into 0-4 Hole

The Los Angeles Clippers failed to get their first win of the season again, losing to the Utah Jazz 89-73. For the first time, both Baron Davis and Marcus Camby played on the court. Camby had 5 points, while Chris Kaman was the star with 19 points and 10 rebounds. For the Jazz, Paul Millsap scored 24 points while Carlos Boozer had 13 with 8 rebounds. The Clips look to achieve their first win against the LA Lakers tomorrow, but don't expect to see a 1-4 record in the standings on Thursday.
