The Los Angeles Kings fell to the San Jose Sharks 2-1 in a shootout, and are 5 points out of a playoff spot. Wayne Simmonds tied the score for LA after Milan Michalek's goal. Erik Ersberg made 38 saves but it was not enough for the Kings. Jonathan Cheechoo scored the game-winner in the shootout.
