Dodgers End Spring with Whimper

The Los Angeles Dodgers fell to the San Francisco Giants 3-1, their last spring exhibition of the year. James McDonald pitched four innings, yielding three runs on six hits while striking out five. Josh Lindblom took full advantage of his last chance to make the club, pitching four scoreless innings while allowing only three baserunners. James Loney had two hits and an RBI, and Juan Pierre scored the Dodgers' only run. Juan Castro had a double.
