USC Puts the Hurt on Notre Dame, Weis's Job

The USC football team defeated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 38-3, extending the men of Troy's winning streak over their famous rivals to 7 straight games. The game between the Trojans and Irish was seen as ND coach Charlie Weis's last opportunity to salvage the team's season and his coaching position. Heavy speculation surrounded whether Weis would be let go if the Irish failed to win. The USC defense was once again solid, and Mark Sanchez threw for 267 yards with two touchdowns, but two picks as well. Jimmy Clausen, on the other hand, gave Notre Dame just 41 yards (with the longest pass being 11) and two interceptions.
